I got handed this dog that looked like it fell of a dustbin lorry and was asked if I could do anything with it, "Yea burn it, or hit next doors yapping dog with it maybe?" was my usual ever optimistic reply. It turns out this was a 1954 German made Framus Rolyford, a rare beast, with many owners of the era, including a custom for Elvis. The factory I believe no longer exists.

But one for a challenge, I decided to have a go. So, armed with electrical screwdrivers, Lem Oil, which is an amazing product, and should be in any guitar players arsenal, some rags and silver polish, new screws, two good arms and a hangover, I set off on what would be an 8 hour blast!!!! I posted some pics of the work in progress, and the finished article below...............oh, and the pickup was an after production addition by the factory, at the owners request, I hated it, so it now sits in the corner getting kicked now and again.
