Funky New Cherry Lane Guitar DVD Creating a Buzz

Funky New Cherry Lane Guitar DVD Creating a Buzz Brought to you by: guitar.com

MILWAUKEE – Cherry Lane Music Company is very proud to present at Summer NAMM Funky Rhythm Guitar: Learn Funky Rhythm Grooves in Five Classic Styles by Buzz Feiten.

Clfunkyrhythmgtrdvd Jpg 16078Extremely respected among guitarists, Feiten has played with the likes of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Stevie Wonder, Rickie Lee Jones, and Aretha Franklin, to name but a few marquee artists. Using the new Cherry Lane DVD, guitarists can watch, listen, and learn as Feiten breaks down funky rhythm guitar into three major components – the right-hand “engine,” the melody, and the chord voicing. He then teaches grooves in five distinct styles: Hendrix/Mayfield double stop, chicken pickin’/New Orleans, James Brown, fusion samba, and Cornell Dupree. Clocking in at over an hour and a half, Funky Rhythm Guitar features a .pdf file with transcriptions of the musical examples for additional help.

John Stix, Senior VP of Acquisitions/Print for Cherry Lane, says, “Buzz is a true player’s player. I’m thrilled with his Funky Rhythm Guitar DVD; it may be the best teaching/playing DVD we’ve ever put out.”
