Guitar World: Expressway to Acoustic Rock Method Released by Alfred Music Publishing Brought to you by: Alfred Publishing

Los Angeles, CA — September 2011 - Alfred Music Publishing, the world leader in educational print music publishing since 1922, is proud to announce the release of Guitar World: Expressway to Acoustic Rock, a unique acoustic guitar method written by Guitar World magazine's expert editors, featuring 25 of the greatest acoustic rock songs ever recorded.

Guitarworldexpresswayacousticrock Jpg 15308Guitar World: Expressway to Acoustic Rock is designed to provide high-quality and easy-to-use TAB arrangements to help intermediate and novice players master learning the guitar, all while playing real music. Acoustic guitar rock arrangements include “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You” (Led Zeppelin), “Everlong” (Foo Fighters), “Fake Plastic Trees” (Radiohead), “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” (Green Day), “Into the Mystic” (Van Morrison), “Patience” (Guns N’ Roses), “Wish You Were Here” (Pink Floyd), and many more. Each song is accompanied by a detailed lesson focused on critical guitar parts, by Guitar World editor Jimmy Brown.

The two included CDs contain full-length sound-alike recordings to get a sense of how the actual artists played each song. Additionally, the TNT (Tone 'N' Tempo) Changer software on the discs allows for sections to be looped for practice, tempo and key changes, and the ability to switch back and forth between the full-instrumental and play-along tracks. More than just lessons, the method also contains various sections of additional information such as tips on gear and effects settings, biographies of the artists, including interesting anecdotes about the artist, band, and songs.

As part of Alfred’s ongoing commitment to improving the environment, this songbook is printed on 100% recycled paper.

Guitar World: Expressway to Acoustic Rock Book & CDs (00-37259) is now available for $24.99 at music retail stores and at alfred.com/guitar.
