Got home from church in 1964...saw Beatles on Ed Sullivan. I said..."That looks like a good job." Got a nameless guitar, took a few lessons, started first group..The Starfirs, with a Fender Mustang that I changed to a Jazzmaster. After two years of that formed The Pink Noise, lasted one year but began writing. Left the chicago area for oregon played briefly with "Hunger." I Got hepatitis (the stories are true) went back to indiana and formed Canary. Played with Chaka Khan, The American Breed, etc...broke up and formed Last Anthem. Even had a huge bus with bunk beds...:) Then Bill Wagoner and I formed backwood. All original music, with Greg Humbert on Hammond B-3 and vocals. Played with Tony Mcphee and the Groundhogs, Black Oak Arkansas, and it gets very blurry.

Disco hit. I withdrew into myself. Then I layed down my guitars for 20 years. If I couldn't be in the big time, I didn't want to play...anyway..best move i ever made. Went back to it like a lover. I live In Oregon now.
Advice? Hell there is plenty of that...but why learn how to play like someone else? Influences...sure but...why...Its likeStairway to Heaven" I learned the chords once...but if it ain't yours, no one will remeber your name.
