Wow, what can I say about this masterpeice? This is THE album that got me into rock and metal. I bought it about 2 years ago and still listen to a few songs on a daily basis. The lyrics are sure to make your blood boil, if you are into intensly political lyrics. The guitar work, while not always extremely technical, is always either fun and very well placed. The bass is mixed vary low, so you may not always be able to hear it, but when you do it does satisfy. The drums, also, are very well done, not exactly straight up metal drumming, but it really sounds good. A few stand out tracks are mind, which took me about a year to actually like, and war?, which is a very good song to just rock all out to. All in all, a great cd from a great band. If you are into rock and wanting to get into something heavier, are a guitarist, or like metal in general, pick this up, you won't be dissapointed.
This album is the best put out by Green Day in my opinion. It has such great songs, including some of the most famous Green Day songs ever. Verdict: 5 of 5
