Welcome to the beginning.  Last night I purchased my first guitar ever...actually first instrument of any kind ever.  Not a clue as to what I am doing.  I am 27 and looking for a new hobby...I've always loved music, but growing up was way to busy with sports to pick up an instrument and learn.  So, as my wife goes back to school to get an MBA, I figure why not better myself also.
I went out and got a Squier Strat Pack...one of those everything you need to get started without breaking the bank things.  Thus far I am pleased with it, not that I have anything to compare it to.  It is just nice to have my first guitar ever...kind of like when you got your first bike.
 Started working on basic scales last night and so far I must say, I suck at guitar, my fingers hurt, and my hands are cramping up...
 I can't wait for my next practice session...
 
So this is the beginning.  I hope to keep up with this blog to document my progress.  Witness the birth of the next guitar legend...ok, maybe just the birth of a guy who can hack out a decent tune and just have some fun jamming.
