A bit about me.

First off, I just want to say a big hello to all my fellow guitarists, no matter what level you are at. I hope to meet many of you in the future and also look forward to improving my own technique and playing with the useful tips and tricks that I pick up from this site.
I have been playing for just over 12 months and have been teaching myself. I have learned some chords, different scales and some basics on the guitar itself. i.e. string tunings, notes on the fretboard, parts of the guitar etc.
I purchased a cheap acoustic/electric on eBay (Starsun) to learn on and to make sure that I was going to follow it through. It has been a good guitar, and does have a really nice tone. The bridge is starting to come away from the body so I will have to do some repairs on it shortly (it may end up looking like an acoustic version of Eddie Van Halens Frankenstrat). I do have my eyes on a new Ibanez (pictured below) which I hope to purchase in the future and would like to get some feedback on it from members on this site.

I also have a Washburn X10 electric that I got myself for Christmas last year. Unfortunately, with work and travel, I don't get to play it as often as I would like. It is so much easier to play than the acoustic, but I am glad that I started out on acoustic. The acoustic has given me more strength in my fingers and also assisted with getting the right hand position, avoiding fret buzz and unwanted string muting. Good techniques that I possibly wouldn't have put as much emphasis on if I started out on electric.
Anyhow, until next time, Keep playing and bye for now!
