As a guitar teacher I found my creativity started to wane over the years since leaving my band. This stressed me out because composing became a real chore and songs took weeks, even months to finish.
I read in a book that your creative brain can go to sleep if it's not used regularly so I decided to start writing small musical snippets each morning. But I needed motivation.
I started emailing the pieces to everyone I knew each day, and this kept me obliged... even on the cold days.
Before I knew it more and more people were emailing asking to be added to the list, and now I've completed 67 pieces since mid Dec 2007.
