akeldama is a wonderful example of why the faceless is a paramount force in technical death metal and deathcore. the album features brutal, technical, yet catchy riffs, innovative chord changes, awesome guitar solos and lead fills, and, of course, the most massive and epic breakdowns. notable tracks include 'an autopsy,' 'pestilence,' 'all dark graves,' 'akeldama,' and 'the ghost of a stranger.' if you like technical metal or hardcore, get this album.
all shall perish delivers its metalcore masterpiece in 'the price of existence.' the oakland 5-piece while slightly grind, delivers lots of melody, lots of shred, and lots of sludge. one might call all shall perish the unearth of death metal. notable tracks are 'eradication,' 'the day of justice,' 'there is not business to be done on a dead planet,' and '...we hold these truths.' definately a sweet buy for those who appreciate the beauty of a breakdown.
