A friend and I have been talking about it for years. And I think this year I'll do it. I am in the middle of a super-duper-awesome woodworking/electronics project at the moment but after that I think I'll be building the guitar. My friend says he'll do it when I do.
So we've decided to order necks from Warmoth and build the bodies ourselves. Mine is going to have one pick up [bridge], one knob [volume] and a fixed bridge - 22 frets. I've very very roughly designed the body shape, might do some accurate measurements on this massive graph paper I have.
Anyway, anyone else ever build one [not from a kit]? Any tips you can share?
