I made a short little backing track here for us g.com'ers (what few we have left) to mess with here:

My idea is this:
2 lead guitar contributions from each participant.
1 one-take improv
1 thought out, written
 
I think it's a cool idea that will show us a lot of things about our playing and writing. We'll get to hear each person's initial interpretation, ideas, and screw-ups, then we'll get to hear their focused interpretations, ideas, and production skills. We'll also get to hear how improvising can be great for creating ideas/hooks/riffs, and how focusing and building on them can produce a great song or piece.
 
Hope we get some guys to do this! I'll start as soons as I can.
