Missing People

Well, got a call today from my younger brother's workplace. He is MIA. For 2 days now, which is strange. I am the last person he has spoken to. He was in a car accident on Tuesday night shortly after calling me asking if I would let him use one of my Kayaks this weekend. Anyway, he went to the hospital, and then... wasn't there. His cell phone goes right to voicemail, I assume it's dead.

My older brother has been missing for 8 years now - just gone from the face of the planet. He was a weird one though, he's probably hiding under a rock in England where he moved 10 years ago. Him being missing has pretty much destroyed my family - this world we live in is a messed up place.

that is weird to have such a track record for your family to have people just vanishing.

while I hate to make light of such a situation, especially with your younger brother not turning up at the hospital after having a car accident. But did you check the Bermuda Triangle?

seriously though, I hope everyone is alright. This type of thing certainly is hard on families. It's the not knowing what has become of them that's hard. I think this is harder than coming to grips with someone's death... at least you know they're dead and to stop looking.

Has anyone managed to trace your younger brother's steps as far as where the accident occured and any potential paths he could have taken to the hospital?

Is it too early to mention the possibility of alien abduction? It is? Oh well...

Seriously though, that sucks. What did the police say?

Well, he turned up safe and sound. Stupid brother. He was in the hospital and wasn't supposed to leave the room. So he stripped off his wristband, got dressed, and left the hospital grounds to go smoke - and was promptly picked up by police who assumed he was drunk because he was hopped up on some good painkillers, and threw him in the drunk tank. Serves him right.

Now, who has the number for Jerry Springer? I gave him an earful last night when he called around 9pm. My fiance just got back from a trip to Hawaii, so the first day I got to spend with her was spent trying to locate my stupid brother.

OK after thinking about it for a little while... I think he's a big, fat liar. So instead of caring about what the truth is, I think I'll just be pissed off at him.

You will get the calling someday, to disappear and join your brothers for the 2012 end of times. Your family are the harbingers of doom for mankind.

Congrats
