the older Danelectro pedals were awesome, but cheaply made

Those old metal-bodied danelectro pedals were awesome. Good looks, good tone, metal bodies.... plastic potentiometers. I had the two shown here, and they both had something good going for them tone-wise. One of them couldn't handle being carried around in it's original packaging in a backpack, the other just stopped working, but they definitly sounded good.

And looked great! I would love for these to be reissued with proper components. It's been a long time since I used any oedals, mostly these days it's some rack gear controlled via midi - but it'd be nice to go back to simpler days.
