SEAGULL S6 OR something else

Ive narrowed down my choices....I really like the seagull s6 but I also like the takamine in the 400-450.00 range, I played the seagull and really liked it, but I am open to other suggestions in the range of 300-450.00 electronics are optional.. I would rather add later to get a better quality now... I tried the Fender and the EPI in this range as well as the ibanez but really didnt like them too much. music style is rock, grunge....I do drop down to D frequently as well as tuning half step down if that helps...any other suggestions would be greatly appriciated
