I am a beginner and have been learning on an electric guitar but I want to play acoustic also. Any suggestions for a cheap but good enough guitar to learn on.

I've had good luck with Dean. I bought Dean acoustics for my studio. No one has complained and many clients use one of my guitars rather than their own. For a low end acoustic, they've been pretty good!

I also bought Deans for my son and my son-in-law. Both nice looking and play well too. I, personally, don't play one. Unless I'm adding parts in the studio and need a 6 string. But when I do play one, I'm not at all dissatisfied with the sound, the action, or the overall feel. Decent quality for a reasonable price.

I know a LOT of electric players who practice on acoustic. You'll get stronger fingers and you'll also have to learn better technique for your strings to cut through clearly. Bending will also be a monster, but when you go back to electric, everything will seem a lot easier to play. As in less effort.

This is my experience as well. I played nothing but acoustic for about 3 months and when I went back to electric, I was like a rock god.

Ibanez AES10. My personal favorite. I have the Amber-colored one and it plays almost like an electric.

i wouldn't go with the epiphone. i have one of epiphones low end models and it has good sound but if the strings are in tune the frets are not and this drives me crazy. if your willing to spend $500 the Martin DXM run for $450 and it's great quality I'm picking one up as soon as i have the money.

id' go with an epiphone then you can pick one up for $100 bucks. i was in the same position once and i wish i spent more money on a better guitar but for a hundred bucks you can't beat an epiphone.

Cheap beginners acoustic...I have a Beringher beginner pack that I just mess around on. It was $90 for the guitar with a gig bag, picks, extra strings, and a digital tuner (that broke 3 weeks later, but who cares it was cheap). It actually has been a pretty good guitar. Action's a bit high, but it helps with building my finger strength. And it stays in tune pretty well, even through a good bend or two. Look online. There's really good deals on Ebay. You can get chinese Gibson knock-offs on there too. :o) Have fun.
