At a show at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, acoustic shredder Justin King combines open tuned percussion, slap/pop bass technique and flamenco rasgueados into a style that evidently no one cared about. That's what you get for signing with an agent that books you on cafeteria gigs.

I enjoy skinny skiing, heckling figure skaters, flamenco guitar, the blue stuff you put your combs in, good drummers, focaccia bread and coffee out of a french press

here's one of the most famous violinists in the world playing the most difficult pieces in the world in a public place.

when listeners were asked if they saw anything unusual they basically were like "musician..where?" or "yeah i heard some violinist playing some generic classical"

there was one person that knew the guy was amazing, and one person recognized him. its a long, but fun read.

Holy soundwaves, Batman!

So there he was, and three people bothered to stop and listen. Ya know, I like to tell myself I would have made it four, even though I'm pretty focused throughout my workday also.

Perhaps exposure to a wider audience will help. Imagine a tour where Bell amps up and teams with Yngwie Malmsteen for a neo-classical extravaganza! Hey, I'd go.

P.S. West Side Story Suite is a fantastic CD.

yeah. its pretty hilarious how a guy that sells out expensive seats of thousands of people...but he couldn't get a handful of people to even care in a public setting. but...the problem was that people have their schedules and days tightly planned
