I use a Kyser 6 string steel guitar capo, just wondering, is it worth springing the extra 20 bucks for that really nice one, i mean mine is fine, but i want to know the quality differences.

not at all, i think thats the same one i have - if it is working not giving you any buzz or anything then it would be a huge waste of money to buy another, unless you prefer the look of another

The Kyser is what I use on both my 6 & 12 String, it's easy enough to use, it works, and while there may be better ones out there, I'm fine with the Kyser.

I was given a Shubb capo as a freebie when I bought one of my guitars

http://www.shubb.com/capos.html

It's always worked perfectly and adjusts for whatever neck you have. It's also relatively discrete. I'd recommend it.

I like the Kyser because of its quick operation and the fact that you can park it on the headstock when it's not needed.

A few years back, guitar.com and Planet Waves had some of us test a new capo and review it. A bit smaller than the Shubb, but the same principle and it works great. I still use my Kysers for live play, but the Planet Waves is used in the studio as it fits and works well with all my guitars, 6 and 12 strings.

The shubb looks like the ultimate capo if you're a lot into cpo-ing guitars on and off all the time.

I have the stupid dunlop wrap-around capo. Not the most practical for getting on and off but I'm not huge on capo use. Maybe because I can't be bothered with all that hassle that the shubb promises to alleviate.

I've always used Kysers. The spring in them starts to loosen up after a lot of use, but they're so easy and convenient. Dunlop makes a similar one that is a little more discreet, but I find that the Dunlops don't seem to hold quite as much pressure on the strings (I suspect because they're wider).
