I've noticed alot poeple here recommend dream theater, and they place good on your top ten's and such....

I aint really heard their music... dont know who they be.

Lie is great, I love the break leading up to the solo and the solo. One of my favs also.

I think Misunderstood is my all-time favorite. I like the lyrics, and I like how it transitions almost instantly from a ballad-like intro to a very heavy chorus section. It reminds me of some of my other favorite songs that do that, No More Tears and One Rainy Day Wish.

Sometimes it just takes time to wrap your head around DT. The first time I listened to Metropolis Pt 2: Scenes From a Memory, it left me completely cold. Now it's one of my favorite albums. I used to be indifferent to the song "Under A Glass Moon" - now I love it. It took me a while to come to appreciate Systematic Chaos, but my patience in letting that record grow on me was well-rewarded. DT's music is so complex and varied that it can be disorienting or even off putting.
