Is Dave Mustaine still bitter about being kicked out of Metallica? In an interview he did for uh.. I can't remember whether it was Total Guitar or Guitar World magazine, but it was one of those two anyway, he sounded a little upset when he was talking about Megadeth. He said something like "this song really proved I was a vital part of the band, because I played all the solos" and la-de-da. I'll try to find the issue if I can so I can make sure. Anybody know what I'm talking about?

i like daves music, but as a guitarist, he is DEFINATELY nothing special at all, i know guitarists i personally grew up with that are better than him technically and theworetically. he is a good writer though. i really dont like the way he tyeaches, the things he says or anything else... i JUUST like his music. also, i think every member of metallica is a douschbag... and it is really too damn bad.

I agree with you. I can't tell you how many times he has written an article about his economy 5 chord shapes. Is that they only thing he can teach?

Well in terms of technical play, Slash doesn't really do any of it either. He said once he plays something that sounds like a song, he just goes with it. He's not a technical player at all, he doesn't try to incorporate scales or anything into his playing, and I wouldn't say he's nothing special.

Agreed. But there is one very suprising song by Slash. Listen to this sample of Obsession Confession by Slash and post your thoughts.

Hey, I like that tune. I love flamenco music. My only problem is later on in the song, Slash forgets he's playing a Flamenco style tune and does a blues style bend. Other than that, it's a really nice tune.

(BTW, I say flamenco style because it's not true Flamenco)

yea Some Kind Of Monster told me that he did feel something, though i wouldnt call it bitter.

i guess he jus hates the situation, and is prob jealous that Metallica are more popular than Megadeath. prob hates the fact that he could have been in on all the great shows etc

Well if I got kicked out of a band as big as Metallica I'd be pretty pissed too.

Yup! Based on what I read, Mustaine couldn't be sober enough to be productive in the band, so Hetfield booten him out of "alchoholica"
