I have apparently been living in a hole for the past 28 years. I have recently started listening to Stevie Ray Vaughn, and I am in love! Wonderful music. Someone told me he only released two albums! Is that true?

Live footage includes, two differen't Austin City limits performances, Live at the El Macambo, and two in Montreaux (one of which he was actually booed during the performance). If there is other video footage I would like to get it.

The work with David Bowie was only for the Lets Dance song and SRV was pretty let down by the whole deal.

This may be heresy, but IMHO, SRV played Voodoo Chile better than Hendrix did.

I agree as well, but I think some of it had to do with advances in production techniques between the late 60's and the mid 80's. I think if Hendrix had recorded it in the 80's, the differences between the two versions wouldn't be that great.

i have to agree that i liked srv's voodoo chile better. hendrix was a great guitarist for sure, but he has never been a persanol favorite. stevie ray's style sounded better to me in most cases.
