I like his style....
does anyone know anyone similar to him?
I find he gets alot of his riffs from muddy waters, jimi, bbking.

B Obviously he has been influenced by Hendrix, Vaughn, etc... but likewise i haven't found any contemporary artists similar to him.

Joe Bonnamassa's an artist "kinda" like him. More chops, not as good a songwriter, still awesome...

i heard pete schmidt 5 years ago...and he was very similar to john mayer. it was jazzy acoustic, and the melodies were very similar. it was a song called "lost in new york" that i recall. it seems he doesn't sound the same anymore.

check out whatever album that song is on, and you'll be in luck. the only recording i had of him was a solo acoustic and voice type deal.

I like Mayer as well. He's got a fresh style even though some of his songs are a little too poppy for me. He's indicated that he wants to be known more as a guitarist than a singer.

Besides, he got to spend some quality time w/ Jessica Simpson's yabbos. She's kind of looking a little freakish these days....but those yabbos still look good.
