Marylin Manson may look like a creep but he has to be one of the smartest men in the music biz. After reading several interviews i have to say that his political, religous, and public opinions are something to be considered......any say anyone?

He manages to provide safe harbor for what some of us might call disgusting eccentricities and fuse that with a well oiled marketing engine. He's quite the articulate, alley dwelling, rapist, Nazi, baby eater. Well, truth be told, he's none of those things but the disguise has many of us fooled [and by fooled I mean he takes our money].

Manson is very smart. He has the worst attitude problem though. (and this is coming from my ex-girlfriend who got to meet him)

If you want to talk about a manson-like person you should be talking about John 5. He was the guitarist for manson for years and he's REAL good.

His anger angainst "cristianism" is a "great thing"? Why? Would you say the same thing if his anger was against Muslimism, Buddhismism, or Jewismismism? Hitler had anger against Judaism. That turned out well, didn't it?

I have been a fan for years. His recent stuff doesn't really do it for me though. I read his autobiography too and my opinion is:

yes he is "smart and crazy", and we need people like that. people who can say "that aint right" when others are blinded by religon, politics, ect.. but he is an extremist in his beliefs. and i agree he is a very strange man.........and yeh his new stuff sucks i bot "eat me drink me" album and i wana return it

Puckering their lips out in every picture you see them in doesn't exactly help either. Nothing says, "I suck (beep) for heroine" like wearing makup, teasing your hair, AND puckering your lips.

I saw them back in '95 with Korn and Danzig and I agree: one of the best shows I have ever seen.
