So I'm not necessarily the hugest winger fan. Actually, I dislike them very much, but I find Reb Beach's style to be pretty sick.
I've watched this video a zillion times, and I think that he has a super unique style of tapping. Just wondering what everybodys thoughts are on him.
My music recommendations:
How many Guitarists does it take to Screw in a lightbulb? Ten. One to do it, and nine others to sit at the back of the room with their arms crossed and tal about how they could do it better.

I remember seeing the Winger video "Seventeen" when it came out. If you can stomach Kip Winger throught the video, Beach really sticks out as far as musicianship. I think he's an excellent guitarist! As far as Winger goes, hey, a gig's a gig.

My first introduction to Beach was this song. Though the solo is really something in my opinion, it was this band that made him for a brief time and ruined him for good. This guy definitely has the chops, but I'm afraid nobody in their right minds wants to be associated with Winger in any way. He toured with Alice Cooper in the 90's, but I haven't heard much from him since. This video is so freakin awful.

Reb hasn't gone anywhere. He's toured with Dokken, is currently in Whitesnake, and he's got his own solo stuff that is amazing.

i have always dug reb beachs' playing. and i like a few winger songs...madalaine was the was i liked the most. he's definatley a monster player. very eddie-ish for sure...it'll be interesting to see how he fares in whitesnake opposite doug aldrich.....

Reb's in Whitesnake now? I didn't know that. I've always thought he was a pretty good player in band that wasn't really giving him room to move.

I remember reading an article in guitar world or guitar one or something about how he saw a picture of EVH with his hand up on the neck when he was a young player, and that he had to figure out tapping on his own. I guess thats how he got such a unique style of tapping

also, it is very painful to watch kip winger. i cant even watch the video the whole way through, what was that guy thinkinglol. definitely what ruined beach

I'm beginning to wonder here. If Beach sounded anymore like VH it would be plagiarism. He should just get out the black tape and red spray paint if he's going to go this route...
