The guy has amazing energy. He has participated in a couple of 'Crossroads' concerts ... and served as an opening-act for Eric Clapton, as well.

I enjoy 'watching' him more than listening to him for some reason .. maybe the sound of the pedal-steel just wears on me. After a while it starts to sound like "whining"....

If you enjoy watching a player take-it-on horizontally --- try Jeff Healey too !!

There's only one problem if you want to check out Jeff Healey. He passed away on March 8, 2008 from lung cancer.

Yes, it was a bummer. He died from the same rare-form of cancer that blinded him (retinoblastoma) ... leaving us at the age of 41. I think he had kids of 13 and 4 yrs old.

He played the trumpet and clarinet, too -- but made his name as a blues/r&b/jazz guy.

The recorded version of 'Hideaway' is a flat-out riot. I have been a fan of the Freddie King version FOREVER ... then I heard Jeff Healey cover it .... and it's been my favorite ever since.

You can listen to JH ... but you can still see RR live and in-person !!
