Ronny James Dio
Graham Bonnet
Joe Lynn Turner
Doogie White

Those are all the lead vocalists of Rainbow. Various people have stepped in for backing vocals or as guests, but there is no mention in any of the albums of Blackmore singing anything.

Where did you get that idea?

to me some have unique voices that are insantly recognizable, some impress me with a combination of singing and writing ability, some do it with showmanship, and some are just plain good in every aspect.

some favorites that come to mind are:

bob seger
steven tyler
axl rose
john fogerty
ronnie van zant
billy gibbons
don henley

and most recently chad kroeger

also i cant forget johnny cash. i know this thread is for rock/metal ect, but the voice of johnny cash knew no bounds through the genres of music. to the best of my knowledge, he is the only person ever to be inducted into both the country music hall of fame and the rock and roll hall of fame.

Hell yeah Elvis Pressley! He had one of those voices that only come along once in a blue moon!
Johnny Cash still has the people listening.
Now, Johnny, If you like Johnny Cash, then you need to listen to Murder By Death. Good Americana, with a great Cellist, and Baritone singer.
