Hey, I recently started playing like a week or so ago, I know the basic chords etc... (G, D, F, C), and I was wondering what an easy to play song would be. I'm into just about anything, and thanks!

Those are pretty much the chords of "Sweet Child O Mine" by Guns 'N Roses. It would also give you a chance to learn the main riff which can be a little tricky and the solo for the most part is not too difficult.

Take it Easy by the Eagles is a good one also.

The first song I learned was "tom ames prayer" by Steve Earl. You can strum like "Brown Eyed Girl"...D D U U D U in 4/4 time. Its G, C, Em, D...Em is as easy as a chord gets so you could add that to your repitoire quickly. Also some easy songs would be "knockin on heavens door" and everyone learns "House of the Rising sun". Cheers.

I don't know what kind of music you're into, but a lot of classic folk and country musicians never made it past the basic open chords. If you look around, you may find you're already capable of handling a lot (if not most) of Johnny Cash, Jimmy Buffet, Emmylou Harris, Guy Clark, etc.

Anything that sticks in your head and inspired you to play guitar. I felt I was at a plateau the other day too. Googled, 'guitar tab ac dc' and found ALOT. One of the guitar intros that always stuck with me is the opening to Hells Bells, so that is what I worked on for an hour last night... I have a renewed sense of confidence and desire to learn.

Find something you were inspired by and give it a run... Even if it is 1/2 speed it will motivate you to push farther.

you may like playing something like last kiss by pearl jam. or maybe house of the rising sun by the animals.----although you might need to look up some of the chords used.

The first chords song I played was Knocking on Heaven's Door (Bob Dylan or Guns 'n' Roses, the one you prefer). G-D-A, G-D-C
I also played Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, lol.
