I have been learning the different positions of minor pentatonic scales but I want to know if those positions are strung together in any kind of way for soloing up and down the neck. Moving across one position is fine for me but when I try to add notes from another position and continue I get lost. Can anyone help?

Have you tried the diagonal forms? It is a good way to go up the neck

Plug in, turn up and spank the plank

Check out the attached.

This image is intended to show where each pattern is on the fretboard. The same scale chart is shown five times. The notes in red represent the different positions. You can see that each position shares notes from the positions to the left and right of it.

Does this help?
