Alright, me and my friend are very, VERY new to guitar, and I decided to come here seeking help. :p We're both completely in love with the guitar solo from Bob Marley's Stir it Up, and are wondering if it's possible to learn how to play it. With a lot of time and patience learning the basics, of course. I was generally just wondering, is there a resource where we could learn the notes from this solo or how was the sound created? I'm sorry if I'm sounding completely whacko, but I'd really appreciate the advice. Thanks!

Check the internet for tab...if you don't know how to read tab, say so and myself or someone else around here will be glad to explain it.

Guitargeek.com has the equipment of a bunch of famous artists. I don't know if Marley is in there but it's worth a shot.

Good luck and keep rockin!

Thanks a lot. Unfortunately, he's not in there, and I've looked just about everywhere for tabs. But then again, we've still got a long way to go before we can even think about playing it. But thanks again!

Ultimate-guitar.com probably has it, just type in the song name and it'll give u a list of a few peoples versions.

However, ultimate-guitar is not very text-friendly. Most tabs are in powertab or guitarpro format. Which means you'll need these two programs

Try Looking up the sheet music at your local library. Most librarys have sheet music on pretty much every band in the last 20 years, so give that a shot. That's probably the fastest & cheapest way to find that solo.

Good Luck!
