there are several members here who are in bands that gig at least somewhat regularly.

i am not in a band, for my skills nor my schedule would allow it. LOL. but i do love guitars, and i do love music.

I play in "Due South". We play in and around Charleston and the South Carolina lowcountry.

We played a hurricane party last night at a club called Skynyrd's. We had a great time.

well, i don't play any gigs yet, but my band is called "Black Rose" and we are still coming up with our own songs and the fact that they live in different states keeps us from practicing to much...I'm in Texas, ones in Utah, and the other one is in Washington State. But we might get together this new years which should be really fun, even though it might not be that long.

I was in a band until May of this year when our singer pulled the plug. We gigged regularly, including several out of town shows. Do I miss it? fuck yeah! It kept me busy as fuck with regular shows and twice a week rehearsals. Your playing grows by leaps and bounds when you play that much in a serious situation.

I write tunes and email them to my friends on tha mainland [i live on vancouver island]. Then they learn them and our first practices are our gigs! It's fun and nothing has ever gone seriously wrong - yet.

were called Savage Rampage. we've had pretty rough lives and all had experiances on the streets, and living along.
i guess all this kinda made us slightly 'savage' in that were pretty strong people. plus we all have animal nicknames.

I don`t play in a band, not that I don`t want, not that I can`t, only I cannot find anyone playing bass and drums in my small city.

Anyway, there are quite a few people on here that are in bands. I personally am not at the moment, but my brother (who is an insane drummer) and I have been talking about trying to get something together when I get back from overseas. He's in a band right now that's actually doing pretty well for themselves, considering how young they are, both as a band and literally speaking (my brother is the oldest at 19).

At any rate, I'm finishing building my dream rig so that I can start the process of putting something out there. While I'm overseas, we're going to do the email thing (I'm getting one of those Pod X3' Live boards to take with me).

Oh yeah, I almost forgot the whole point of the thread. We don't have a name yet. His band's name is ZeroPoint, as in zero point energy.

Ok duane, i been posting here and on the old G.com for a while, didnt notice any threads. Doen'y seem like many people talk much about thier bands, maybe the thread titles are misleading Hmmmm....

I need to be in a band. I don't know any local musicians, and my guitar skills are not where they need to be to play shows, but I can sing, and scream. Utah blows.
