Hey everyone,

Just managed to sign on after years of not posting. I was on the original guitar.com as bambam680 and later narshadda. Haven't seen any of the old faces but figured, I'd drop by and say hello.

I included a quick vid of a jam I did a while back. Nothing major just noodling around with the Carvin 7 string.

Narsh! Yeah I vaguely remember you, but mostly from JDB though. On the old G.com I didn't get much chance to get to know people. I'm an old face in that I was on the old G.com but I'm probably new compared to the people like Guitarius (who used to be a regular in the new G.com too but hasn't showed up in months), you or Archer (who has an account and honors us with a lonely sarcastic post once every few months). Xarkzilla is a regular. I think some more old-timers have accounts but didn't like the new site and left. So yeah, it's mostly new faces around here.

Welcome back. I was on the old Guitar.com years ago when I was really getting into playing. Then, I got busy with work and school and weened off it for awhile. I remember you Narshadda. You were one of the better players on the old site. EVERYBODY on the old site used to post clips no matter how BAD they were. It was kind of cool.

I don't remember you, but then I was mostly on the old misc board as a mod. I generally only remember the people that caused trouble. Since I don't remember you, I guess you weren't one of those! So... Welcome back!

You'll find this to be a more congenial site than the old g.com, for the most part. We have our disagreements, but nothing gets out of hand. At least it hasn't so far!

i was a member of the original site and left because i wasn't as impressed. I had a different log in but my same name. I want to remove my old account because i didn't even know it was still in the database. If you are an older user there is a good chance your OLD account is still active and you may want to have it deleted. YOu can go to the memebers area and check and see if you have another account open. I think they wanted to keep the old members active when they rebuilt this...

Clips are posted fairly often. You might have to dig to find them, but they do get posted.

Of course, now there's video too!

(I can't do either of them. Well, I can post audio clips of my own, but since I can't access MySpace, or any other networking type site or MP3 site, or video sites, (work filters....) You get the picture.

Posters LOVE clips, so post away!

Coincidentally, just this week I unearthed an old disk full of backing tracks. On it was this old collab a bunch of guys did from the old Guitar.com. This clip is probably older than some of the kids on here. LOL. Take a listen. There were many fine musicians on the old Guitar.com.

Actually collabs have fallen quiet lately. There was a creativity bloom in the winter and then it subsided. I think Zombre (aka Guitarius) was responsible for the bloom. It's not the same without him. (ok now I sound like I worship him or something so I'll try not to mention him again for a while.)

I doubt the new G.com has preserved the old G.com logins. Or maybe they dug them up at some later time. Some of us have been on here since early public beta testing, when we joined by invites only, and I don't remember seeing old logins (mine or other) at any time so far.
