don't worry about it man. And yeah, dragonforce is a force to be reckoned with. Herman lee is insane. Of coarse when Dragonforce is mentioned the term "cheesemetal" comes to mind, but i don't care, they're damn good.

I saw them open for Iron Maiden a couple years ago... The crowd told them to go the f*ck home...

Technical abilities alone can be appreciated only by few people. Musical abilities and stage attitude are what counts with the crowd. And at that they sucked.

yeah their songs are all pretty gay but herman and sam are amazing. As a side note this is a shortened version of the regular song.

Woah! Didnt expect the embbed vid to be that small.

Anywho, I've never seen them play live (and I prolly never will get to) but based on their music alone, I'd have to say that they're pretty good on the technical side of things.

They are a perfect example of too many notes in too little time.
Both guys tapping in sync is astonishing, but is it necessary?

Anyway, when I saw them, the crowd wasn't ready for (or used to) that kinda music and was eager to see maiden, so it didn't respond much to DF. And that caused them to get aggressive on the crowd, but instead of cheering us up they enraged us. So I guess my view on them is heavily biased from the singer's "bow before me infidels, for I am GOD" kind of attitude.

Seeing some songs on vids, doesn't raise such feelings of despise in me. The admitedly cheesy tunes would fit nicely in the 80s era and I happen to like that era. I wouldn't be too surprised to find myself owning a DF cd sometime.

They intentionally play as influenced by 80's 90's video games. I like them. I'm listening to Inhuman Rampage. I like it. But one song does sound like another. But I dont' care, I'm enjoying it for now.

That was an insane duel guitar solo. I was really bummed when it went back in to that cheesy-ass progression again. I hate when annoying singers like that ruin something that has good potential. That type of vocals just bothers the hell out of me. Another good example: Dream Theatre. Some of their songs are fuggin' heavy until that singer comes in, then it just kind of seems like a joke to me. They always seem to have a big ego for ones that are such pussies, haha.

It's cool stuff. I like it, and it fits within that genre. It takes a bit of getting used to, but it's neato...
me likey!

heh I think we're experiencing an '80's type of resurgence again...

Oh no, I like the tune itself also. I think they're a great band. Just my opinion, but hey... I like J'Amiroquai too... lol

Hey, J'Amiroquai is awesome. I'll never forget the video for that song "Virtual Insanity". As a child that video always intrigued me, not to mention it's just an awesome song to boot. However, I still hate the epic-metal vocals. They're too cheesy. Too whiny, too much vibrato.

I've always been blessed with the ability to listen 'through' vocals on a track, yet I constantly find people who won't even give a song a full listening to if they don't like the singer, it's like their ears close up to shut it out. The D.F. style is not for me, personally, but I can see what they're trying to achieve and I sure as hell appreciate the hard work they put into it.

I totally agree with you. There are a couple bands I listen to soley for the music, but I hate the singer. Example: Dream Theater, some Genesis, etc.

Yea i reckon dragonforce are damn cool! but i played alot of nintendo...
when i first heard them i couldn't stop laughing but the more you hear them the more you appreciate their music, and i recently went to a gig of theirs (in australia) where they headlined. They put on such a good show, probably one of the best concerts I've been to, and yea they played that song faster then the recording and i didn't hear them screw up the solo. Oh yea and Sam totman kept making asian jokes about herman li which cracked me up.

They're pretty mediocre in my opinion. They're pretty sloppy live from what I've seen. There's much more technical stuff out their. Most of there stuff is simple licks that they just play faster.

But hey, it's all good, right? Take it for what it is, and either enjoy it or don't. Heh It's not like they're the cure for cancer or anything!

Kinda like Helloween or Stratovarius to me... I like it. The vox and the songs are good, so's the playing in my opinion.
(Of course, my opinion may be suspect, I like Nickelback and Dream Theater and Slipknot...lol)
