whats a good pedal to run thru a vox amp? i want a crunchy fat tone..i play punk rock/ gospel

well punk and gospel huh? Thats quite a combo there. I would say for effects mabye the Boss ME-30 or the ME-50. you'll have a bunch of effects.

Depends on the amp. Saying it's a "vox" amp isn't very specific, and actually covers several different types of amps made by that company.

It also depends on what effects you're looking for. I would always suggest an Ibanez TS-9 with a Boss DS-1. You can cover a lot of sonic ground with those. Throw in a decent delay pedal and you have the basis for a great sounding rig.

I'm a fan of the "boutique" pedals. Robert Keeley's stuff is always happening. His mods are amazing. He'll take an average sounding Boss and make it special.

Hmm.. Get a processor.
Digitech is nice.
It looks like a toy, but it's very good sounding.
You can also record with USB! ^^

thanks for the follow up peoples. lots of good advice... i have a voxac50 combo amp.. i'm new and its hard for me to describe in guitar terms the sounds im looking for..i guess i just need to mess with it
