Hey guys I'm getting a new guitar soon...I know I want EMGs b/c I play in a metal/metalcore band and I love their tone...Hate the necks on all Ibanez/jackson guitars, and can't afford a PRS and never liked the way bridges on Les Pauls felt when I palm mute (which I do quite a lot)....so I've narrowed my choices down to either a Schecter C-1 Hellraiser or an ESP LTD MH-400NT, both with active EMGs. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I own an ESP LTD M-207. I absolutely love playing that guitar! However, I've studied the craftsmanship of Schectors quite closely. I have a strong suspicion that the ESP LTD line are made from the same Korean factory as Schecters. The construction techniques are pretty much identical as far as I can tell. That being the case, I bet there won't be much difference in feel and playability between the two. So just get the one you like the most. IMHO.

ok i read about em and i think that....................they are equal. just pick whichever one you know in the back of your head that you want. they all sound and play great so you can't go wrong with any of em
