I appreciate that. I know that Southern Rock is not mentioned a lot around here. With the exception of Johnny.

Hey man I'm from South Louisiana. Southern Rock is in the breeding. I also lived in Charleston where you are for about seven years so I know exactly were you are coming from. There are plenty of us who dig Southern Rock. Think I feel a sothern rock collaboration comming on.

Wow, were you really playing all of that when you were seven?

I just got my 7yr old the Lynyrd Skynyrd instructional DVD by Greg Koch. He is having a lot of fun with it but is nowhere near getting one of those songs down.

Thanks for sharing the video

While them Allman boys had been ripping it since the late 60's, the genre known as "Southern Rock" was not officially born until 1973. Now, at the tender age of 35, Southern Rock has one fret in the grave and another on a shredded banana peel...
...there must be some kinda way out of here

One of my favorite southern rock songs of all time. A great jam number to play in a dive on open mic nights too.

For my money, the two coolest southern rock songs EVER are:

I know a little - Lynyrd Skynyrd
Soulshine - Allman Brothers
