guitarist, if you're from the UK

I like Guitar Player, and occasionaly get Guitar World, usually for a cool DVD.

i'm just never into the band they put in guitar world

There's been a lot of controversy over the cd removal and a lot of people have left the magazine angry because they took the CD away. IMO it's probably easier for someone to go on the internet to go online and look. Ofcourse not everyone has high speed internet and some people like the CD.

wait is guitar one seriously gone or are they just taking longer then usual with the coming issue?

It is interesting that the magazine was consolidated and cancelled. It says a lot about the state of "magazines" in the music industry. Obviously the sales weren't there. It means that the web has taken over, too bad there wasn't some way to make an online magazine with a huge database of songs and tabs, and.... Wait a sec, that could be THIS site if people did things the right way...

GW has tons of great content, but it definitely leans a little "shredder" for me. Guitar Player is a little more my style. Both are good rags. Dustin, it was indeed the final issue of Guitar One, and it was a great one. http://guitarblog.com/blog/2007/06/15/guitar-one-magazine-final-issue/

Total guitar, ok its not as insightfull as some of the others (theory wise) but it covers more the style of music i preffere (in general) i think all the mags are much of much likeness just variations on the styles of music,,,,1 will give u blues tabs/notation and the other will give u rock....there all the same at heart.

one of the things i loved about guitar one was the tons of gear reviews.

last time i pick up a total guitar all the riffs and song were vary ez, i'm wrong because its been some time or is it ezer.

i subscribe to guitar edge. its all about tabs and no other frills. you want sheer tabs go suscribe to that magazine.

I usually get Weekly World News, except there are rarely guitar articles. Well, there was the one about Batboy playing Thunderstruck on a antediluvian Flying V, causing Pangea to split.

Anyways, I don't get 'em anymore, but when I did, I read Guitarist (as someone else pointed out, its from the UK, but can be gotten at Barnes & Noble and probably Borders). I also got Guitar Player every once in awhile. But then again, I didn't like the music Guitar One targeted, so to you I suggest checking out Guitar World. I don't know about now, but they used to be pretty similar about 4 or 5 years ago.

I like guitar world, they have cool dvds and I've picked up alot just by watching them.

I have only ever seen one copy of guitar world in britain,,,, so i brought it,,,,,, damn its a sweet mag, breaks the theory and playing down into small managable peices, kind of a bite size thing,,,, the only problem is i cant find it anywere now.
Anyone know where i can subscribe.
