My name is Johnny Cox

I hail from Cottageville South Carolina ( near Charleston )

I am listening to a lot of acoustic blues right now

My friends son uses Skype but the jury is still out for me

I play Blues,Rock,Country and Bluegrass

I just use Guitar, com to try to stay current to whats going on with other guitarists

My favorite guitar is my Gibson SG

My favorite amps are my Peavey Classic 50 and my Marshall AS50D acoustic amp

I use a PC

And to add a point. Charleston has a cool music scene. If you go downtown you can play electric blues. If you go to the beach you can play play acoustic blues and some Jimmy Buffet stuff. And if you drive about 20 miles out you will find smoke filled Honky Tonks to play southern rock and country. There was only one club for metal but it burned down.

Hey Zombre - Looking for a date or what?

Who are you: 55 w/m/h/m seeking peace and tranquility
Where do you hail from: Currently Colorado
What are you listening to right now: Cuts from the studio. Other than about 15 minutes of radio in the morning all I listen to is music from the studio.
Have you tried Skype: Don't even have a clue what that is.
What music do you play: Lots of blues style, but have a bad habit of re-arranging rock stuff for acoustic.
To what evil ends do you plan to use Guitar.com: Been there, done that. Not proud of it. (But not ashamed either.)
Favorite Guitar: I really love my Carvin 12 string. (Acoustic of course.)
Favorite Amp: I'm an acoustic guy!
Computer: I hate these things! Work with them all damned day long. UNIX. Won't touch one at home. The wife has one, but I can't tell you what it is or what it has in it.

I'm free this weekend, but I think you're a little too young for me.

Besides, mixed relationships are difficult. You're a metal guy. I'm a blues guy. You do 6 strings. I do 12.

I do women. I won't assume to answer for you.

Never mind... The last time I strayed it cost me a new car for the wife, and we weren't even married when it happened! (Though we were when she found out.)

To what evil ends do you plan to use Guitar.com: To slowly work my way into WORLD DOMINATION!!!! (MUWAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!)

Favorite Guitar: I've always had a thing for Les Pauls, even though I don't own one (Hmm... I'll have to change that)

Favorite Amp: For tube amps, probably Marshall or Mesa, though the original 5150 was a good one as well, so was the Crate Blue Voodoo 120 that I used to own that I now miss terribly.

Computer: Mac or PC or Linux :all 3. I've always liked Macs because they are stable and reliable and easy to use, but they're expensive. PC's because I can just build my own and install everything myself. Linux because let's face it, everybody hates being forced to use Microsoft's products. Mainly I use PC's for everything though because it's easier for me.

Just thought this would be interesting -

So far:

7.14% of those posted have ALL their favorite guitars and amps listed in their recommendations.
21.43% of those posted have SOME but not ALL of their favorite guitars and amps listed in their recommendations.
71.43% of those posted have NONE of their favorite guitars and amps listed in their recommendations.

This could be due to:

Most people on this post have not tried their favorites.
Most people on this post haven't yet obtained the funds to purchase their favorites.
Musicians' Friend does not carry their favorites (i.e., Mesa Boogie).
Most people on this post do not bother to make gear recommendations.

What can I say? I am a geek that likes to do stupid stuff like this.

Who are you? I am Mike, nice to meet ya.

Where do you hail from? Originally, I hail about a half an hour east of Brooklyn on Long Island, now I'm corrupting the good folk of New Hampshire.

What are you listening to right now? Besides my fingers tapping the keys, I'm listening to Funk #49 by Joe Walsh.

Have you tried Skype? Yeah, not too big a fan.

What music do you play? Rock, Blues, some Metal. Basically, whatever starts in the heart, works it's way to my brain and if it is in good working order at that particular moment, it may just get to my finger tips LOL.

To what evil ends do you plan to use Guitar.com? I have a stockpile of weapons and ammunition and food to last us for about.....oh, that's the other evil plan, never mind. Just to kick back here and soak up some good information from good people.

Favorite guitar? Right now I'd have to say my Brian Moore i2, but the favorites usually rotate.

Favorite amp? Right now I'm happy with my Fender Ultimate Chorus, but I do like the Paevey Valveking half stack which I'm sure would become my favorite if I had one LOL.

Computer? 3 PC's
