hey guys. i came here to get some good advice on what kind of guitar i should get. first off, I play lead. i play things like this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=kdlovtN7gZw and this http://youtube.com/watch?v=QjA5faZF1A8.

as you can probably already tell, I'm not that experienced in guitars, i can just play it. I've played for about 3 years, but i havent taken any lessons. I self-taught myself and can play by ear. although, i'm taking lessons soon.

i've already had suggestions, like the ibanez sz series, or the ibanez RG tremelo.

anyway, if anyone can suggest some guitars, that would be great. my price range is $400 - $800. thanks! :D

Have you ever thought about an Ibanez SA series? mahogany body, a more vintage-style tremolo (it's still a two-point, it only looks vintage-y). Single coil neck / mid and a humbucker bridge. The tonal possibilities are endless.

It seems so. The first video you linked makes extensive use of it. The Ibanez S are also nice guitars.

Jackson dinkys are pretty good, but i agree that you should probably try Ibanez. Go to your local guitar shop and just ask to play a few that catch your eye

for the price range you have mentioned, you should try a couple of epiphones. i didnt go to the link for the music that you play because my connection is no good and i dont have all night, but the higher end epis are fairly good quality guitars. it would not hurt to try a few before you make a descision. if you like gibson sound ( who dont ) the epis are a reasonable option. in my experience, epiphone offers a more similar product to gibson than squire does to fender. i have very little experience with ibanez and im not gonna put them down but you might be doing yourself a favor to check out other options.
