I have bought used guitars off of ebay before and took me a long while to even try it. I would much rather play one first and get a feel for it before I purchase a guitar. I feel I have been lucky with the online purchases so far.

At some point I would like to get an Epiphone G-1275 SG Double neck, but no one in my area has one to even try. I could order one through my local dealer, but then what would the difference be there? If I order it, I bought it. So for me anyway, if it's something I really want, Musicians friend may just get my money for that one and hope for the best.

i never know what want, when I'm shopping for a new guitar, so i go to a number of guitar shop and play every guitar till i find one i really like, so i can't see myself ever ordering a guitar.

be sure to play the same model of guitar before you decide on it, but i have ordered 3 guitars online through musicians friend and love every one of them, havent had any problems (except one little screw was missing from my LP when i ordered it, cost about a dime at my local music shop). I believe at least musicians friend has a decent return policy, look into that for sure.

my chick got me a washburn oscar schmidt OE30 (see my avatar pic) from musiciansfriend.com for my b-day/xmas 2 years ago. it came in the mail and was perfectly ready to play when i got it. the only thing i did was put a new set of D'addario 9's on it.

Can I buy a guitar on Musiciansfriend.com in China Mainland?

It's nice to hear good reports here, it makes buying a guitar or any instrument for that matter, a little more at ease to make a purchase online.

I've bought parts online from Musicians Friend and I've been looking at an amp to possibly purchase within the next month or so, but even when shopping online, it pays to shop around and compare prices. www.sweetwater.com had a better price on the amp than MF.

Should start a forum about online stores, where to go, where not to go, experiences, etc., etc.
