(I'm trying to upload some photos but this thing won't let me even though I currently have no photos on my profile page. I'll post them when I can.)

I'm in the process of building my own guitar. I just though I'd give you folks a look of how it's starting to shape up. I don't know what made me think this was a good idea. Something about building your own guitar, it's just freakin' cool! My Warmouth neck just came today. It's African bubinga with an ebony fretboard. The body is a 62' Japanese re-issue. I still have to get the tuners, and the pickups. I want to get DiMarzio Area 58's and a 61' for the bridge.

It just says that I can upload 0 more photos, but I have none in there so I don't know what the problem is.

Well now I see 4 so what ever you did worked. I don't know if the site limits the size or not but that would be something else to look at.

I tried to reduce the size of the photos. I took them all down to 1% in my photo editor at home. Perhaps it didn't transfer over. I must be doing something wrong. The thing I wonder is why does it take the photos sometimes, and other times it doesn't. The photos are awfully big when you click on them, so I'm getting the idea that they are not being reduced when I upload them to this site. Oh well, at least they can be seen.

Well I got the neck screwed on. I put a Wilkinson vintage trem on for the bridge. Most of the hardware is in place, 5 way switch, stereo knobs, jack plate, pick guard, neck plate. I just have to get the pickups and ream out the tuning peg holes from 11/16 to 13/16 so that I can put the Gotoh Mini 510's I have in. I still have to put a back plate on and the string retainers on the headstock. It'll be a while before I can get the pickups, (DiMarzio Area 58's & 61). I can't wait to get those pickups.

I will start a project like this some day.
Everyone should build at least one guitar of their own right?

Don't Jedi's have to construct their own Light Saber?

I think it's a great idea to build your own. I've learned more about Stratocasters in one month than I have in five years by doing this.
