1990 or 1991 Mexican made Strat.
MN0+ 5 DIGITS = 1990-1991

It's a good looking guitar and very nice guitar. The pickup pole pieces are normal not broken however the bridge pickup looks to be raised too high in my opinion.. The bridge should be laying flat on the body of the guitar. The picture makes it look like it is canted forward. I can't tell if there is actually anything wrong with it though. In the last picture it look normal.

Plug it in and make sure all of the electronics work correctly, knobs aren't wobbely and make static noice when turned, input jack is tight and signal isn't broken when you move the cord, check the pickup selector and ensure it is not loose and wobbely and that it switches pickups cleanly without static noise, check the frets for string damage and dents, check tuning keys to ensure they are tight, and don't wobble and that they are not leaning.

Also, the strings need to be replaced. They are very dirty and grimey looking.

I love the black. I want one just like this.

standard made in mexico strat...the bridge is canted forward more than likey due to either really heavy guage strings and not enough springs or just not enough springs to begin with. those strats come with 5 springs initially ..some folks take out a spring or two to make the bar more usable. you should ask how many springs are in it and if there are missing springs ,inquire about getting all of them.(though they ARE readily available at most decent guitar shops). ebay is full of made in mexico strats in the $180 to $250 range so don't offer more than that.........

The guitar looks OK. The bridge is not well-adjusted but thats a really easy adjustment.
The pole pieces are intentionally uneven in many pickups. Nothing wrong with it either.

If the guitar makes sound in every position of the switch and responds to you tweaking the pots and the jack stays firmly plugged without noises, then you're good to go.

It seems ok to me. The pick-ups up and down are normal. In my guitar they are like that too.

The guitar looks good. I agree with all the advise given except putting all five springs in the bridge. You shouldn't need more than three springs. Other than checking the electronics, I would also check for fret buzzing on the strings. If you get it for a good price, it might be woth $50 to have it professionally set up.
