Ok I've been kind of playing for three years but I quit for about 2 years and now im 12 and I started back a while back but since I've been sticking with it and actually learning but now its been about a year of playing all the time and now I practice god knows how long a night but I was wondering if there were any tips warm ups etc. Because there are some songs you know the ones that are just really fast you know and I just seem to have problems and I have hammer-ons and pull-offs easy and everything just the moving and stuff you know but I can play pretty fast its just that if I could do that then I'd be good to go and help?

wow bro... RUN ON SCENTENCES!!! haha, here are my tips....

start out learning a few basics, this usually includes the minor pentataonbic scale, also, start doing simple warm ups slow enough to get every single little not prefect, and slowly speed it up. learn how to play other peoples solos, and you will pick up a lot, but do NOT just learn one bands solos, if you do, you are restricting yourself. and for god sakes, whatever you do.... NEVER LEARN STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN!!!!

When you start learning to create solo's you have to play over another sound. Either a pedal tone of a single chord or maybe a simple chord structure or even a background riff that you can loop. Playing solo's over an arrangement will teach you to make the notes fit and choose notes that are in key with the arrangement.
