I need help with this song its really fast its by the acacia strain I've came to it and then left it and failed and done that about three times and I want to get it this time its nothing to do with the hammer-ons and pull-offs its just how fast it is I just get lost and I'm like crap I can't do this, Help?!?!

Play it slooooow. Play it so slow that you can do it absolutely perfect. Repeat it while playing it perfectly (still slow) until you do it without even thinking. You will naturally speed it up to a comfortable level and eventually have it to the temo of the song your playing along with.

Give your fingers time to learn to do it the right way before you try to go fast. (Muscle Memory)

For some good exercises, I suggest checking out youtube for "Rock discipline". It's a John Petrucci instructional vid that has done wonders for my playing. If you start doing that and really stick with the routine, after a month or two you'll notice a drastic improvement.

yea i agree with JTC, just play it really slow. as slow as you need to play it to ensure that you get it RIGHT. get it right, at a slower speed, and then wen you feel comfortable and feel like its an easy pieca shit cake, then speed up a little :P

eventually you shall be shredding it like crazy with no thinking, and it will jus be at the tips of your fingers with ease :D
