Scalloped frets and free donuts! Economy picking never looked so lucid as when executed by the King. Any of us that grew accustomed to referring to the man as Yngwie should reconsider the phonetic KING Veigh

Yngwie is technically great, but I can't listen to him for any length of time because every thing he does is the same meedly meedly me over & over again.

It's true, The King does have an unresolved case of the 'Whoodlies', but still check out the link in the original post...you'll definitely find it amusing!

While Yngwie's become somewhat repetetive, I still think that he's one of very few artists who's managed to stay true to his own style.
he has a definitely distinct sound (You KNOW it's him even if it's only a couple of notes...) and he's STILL imitated/plagarized to death...
Plus, free donuts at the concert... lol

Yngwie should be required listening for beginners, along with Vai, Gilbert, Satch, EJ, and others. Show people what can be done with guitar, blow their minds in fun ways.

I'm glad I started when those guys were showing up...I don't do much in the way of shreddage, but they were huge inspirations for me regardless.

Meh... Never liked it at all. Not even the smallest amount of "admiration" for being able to play like that. I like space in my music. Not every millisecond of a composition has to have a note attached to it! In fact, it's just downright annoying. The listener never gets a chance to breathe, let alone absorb what's being played. I understand how a lot of people could admire it, but for me, it's just a lot of fluff and no substance.

Never liked him. He seems to feel himself A STAR. His music annoy me. I see no life in him when he's on stage. Well it is just my opinion.
I remember one of my brothers friends said that he loves his playing after looking some video, but after awhile when my brother met this guy he asked him about the video he was talking about, he answered that he never liked Yngwie at all (after he watched his live performances) :)

That video is hilarious, man. And, I can't really say that I've listened to Yngwie that much. I've seen a few videos of him, and he can definitely shred. The only thing that bothers me, is that shredders tend to play over very cheesy chord progressions. All the focus is placed on their guitar-playing and not whether or not what's behind actually sounds cool, or interesting. This is the reason I've never really listened much to shredders' music. The only music that I can listen to that has a lot of shredding in it is death metal (Dying Fetus, Beneath the Massacre). No cheesy chord progressions, just brutal riffage and shredding. I don't think it's right to say that Satch, Vai, EJ, and Yngwie should be the main guitarists beginners should listen to, maybe if you plan on delving into the shred side of guitar playing. More-so than ridiculous playing, I also love nothing more than a song that is layered and produced well, which is why I've always appreciated bands like Radiohead, and the Mars Volta. Each song has such a myriad of differing tones, and psychedelic breakdowns. To me that's cooler than shredding, anyone can shred if they practice enough. I just started shredding a little more recently and only after a week or two, I can play a lot faster and smoother. It doesn't take long to pick up on. I think doing something that is truly creative requires a lot more effort, and thinking on your part.

Do you absolutely need two identical accounts? Or is this a bug? Why do I see two defferent pictures and webcreds for the same name?
