I use to have a Gibson Explorer that I loved the sound and feel of, but that guitar weighed a freakin' ton! The weight was just down right uncomfortable after playing for a few minutes. I look at the Gibson Firebird, and I wonder how in the world??? For some it's the round back Ovations that keep sliding down. Others complain that the S.G. is neck heavy. One guy I know says he can't stand those "Pointy Tailed Pud Pullers" referring to the star shaped guitars. What is the most irritating, or uncomfortable guitar you've ever played?

I love the way V's look, but sitting down with them is a chore. I personally prefer the strat shape, but I like the sound of set-neck mahogany and humbuckers.

It's a good thing Ibanez has a few guitars that fit the bill ;). I can't afford a PRS.

One wonders how you sit down and play the Reverse Flying-V and Explorers.

The most uncomfortable guitar ive tried out was actually a Fender... it was not really that heavy, but anyway it was like having some hippo baby sitting you.

I've only played Fender Strats, a Gibson Studio LP, and a Tanglewood imitation SG... And they were all pretty comfortable, but I guess none of them were really 'exotic'.

The most comfortable were the strats, and the least was the SG. Neck heavy.
Wait, scratch that, I've played a Jackson that was an explorer shape, very uncomfortable. Neck heavy, and you can't sit down and play it without tucking your elbow over the top to secure it.

I find most acoustic guitars to be highly uncomfortable to play.

your all high, how can a V not be more comfortable to play sitting, you put the inside of the V on your leg and the neck sits in almost the perfect position. If you tried to play it like you would a strat then yes you would have trouble the damn thing would keep sliding off your lap.

To me that leg-in-the-notch position just feels awkward. But like I said...I love V's, and will gladly play one standing up any day ;)

Yup, I love the V. The last guitar I'm GASsing for is the Jackson RR7. I have every other guitar that I REALLY want.

I like this V. It needs a Floyd, but I like the tapers and edges on this one..
