With 1 two conductor pickup and one pot of each type, things are pretty easy.

In the diagram posted above, ignore the white and red wires from the pickup - it's a four conductor pickup. In your case, connect the white to the volume pot tip and the red to the ground.

Bare goes to ground together with red. That should be the back of the volume pot usually. Notice how the left-side tip of the volume pot is also connected to the back of the same pot (you don't have to twist it, just use a short wire to do it).
Other than the different color code and ignoring the two extra pickup wires that you don't have, the diagram is accurate.

That's the second time I get that reaction over such a topic, on G.com ... :D

Wait til it works first before thanking me. I don't think I screwed up drawing it but from experience I can't trust me 200%. :P

2 vol, 2 tone, 2 hummers, 1 3way ... That's the usual LP diagram you'll find on sites. What do you plan to do differently?

May I interest you in this article:

The purpose of the article is to get more options out of one guitar, but it discusses several general concepts that you seem unfamiliar with.

It looks right.
You can look for more diagrams at the DiMarzio and SeymourDuncan sites. They will all have this setup but maybe drawn differently. Check them out and use the diagram that is more clear to you.

i used this diogram on the les paul, worked allright sounds good but a little wire with switching and stuff it can do neck pickup by itself but it dos bridge and neck when on treble and if u turn the volume down on neck pickup it then cuts out both pic ups when it gets to 0 its alright but cuse i can get sum pretty meaty rock tones from her so she das the job,,,,

I'm having real trouble figuring out what you're saying because of the run-on sentences >:(

The neck and bridge should be both in the middle position of the switch and the treble position should be the bridge alone. It doesn't make sense to have bridge and neck on together in the treble position.
The diagram you used is pretty clogged. I'm pretty sure it is for a neck-both-bridge setup but it's messy and I'm not in the mood to examine it thoroughly. If something isn't working right on your guitar it's because you connected something wrong. With THAT diagram that would be easy to happen. Check your volumes-to-switch connections.

It's normal that both pickups cut out when they are both on and you turn off one of the volumes.

This is by far a more easy to read diagram. The color code might not match yours and the pickups have 4 wires again but you should be able to see the similarities and figure out what is what. Use it to double-check that you did all the right connections.
