How about a section that keeps a history of the posts we make?
Just a chronological list of headers linking to the threads we have posted in, maybe also showing which of them have new replies since we last posted?

When (I prefer "when" instead of "if") the forums pick up traffic and threads start populating like bunnies and climbing up and down in order depending on the time of the last post (as you promised you'd make them) it is going to be pretty chaotic trying to keep track of which threads we have said something in and which not...

It's more like a luxury really... neither the old G or the php forums I frequent have that feature, but I was in a community several years ago and it kept such history. It made accessing the threads of interest very quick and easy.

I like that, especially since it ties in with your webcred. Thanks for the suggestion.

i can't explain how funny webcred is. it's a GREAT idea. i can't wait for people to say "my webcred is bigger than your webcred" and other things of an associated nature.

I too fear it's gonna turn into a contest thing when some potato-heads inevitably join. Especially since $$ are involved... I foresee people deliberately lowering other people's cred to make theirs comparativelly higher.

Hey, Jason!

I think it is mandatory for webcred to work properly, that it be visible WHO increases or decreases one's cred in EACH case. Also our post history should point out, besides which threads have new posts, also in which threads our webcred has been changed, so that we can keep track of our cred's changes, and possibly report misuse of the feature.

Reference #2 above: Perhaps something on the main forum list page that indicates with some sort of icon next to the forum name that there is new chatter in that forum since our last visit - regardless if we are an active participant in the conversation. We may be learning something from the ongoing conversation, but have no expertise to offer on the topic.

Yeah. I was thinking about that too. A way of telling us which forums have had things happening since we last viewed them. That'd be nice indeed.
