I've heard alot of good things about them.

But I was just wondering are they worth the price?

Yes. I just bought some, and they're expensive, but they have a lifetime warranty, so you can get new ones if the old ones break for free. Not bad when you consider the trade-off.

Hey check out mogami cables better than monster IMHO. Expensive too but well worth the price.

I have had some cheaper cables that work well and last a long time.

Significantly less hum. I was amazed...I was using Rapco or something like that for the longest time because it was all I could afford. I read an interview with someone (I forgot who) who said he switched cables and couldn't believe the difference.

The signal / noise ratio is MUCH better, and it seems to not lose as much tone through a long cable as other cables. I won't say "hum free" because the guitar still needs some work, and I need a power conditioner (looking at Monster for that one too!). I'm actually considering once I get my "studio" up and running, to wire / power the whole thing with monster.

No experience with Mogami, but I have heard great things about them too.

Hey Shane, I have a Monster power conditioner. I recommend it big time. You're the only other person I know that even knows about them.

I've tried "almost' all the boutique cables incl. Monster. Where they are definately better than the house brands that stores carry including Rapco, the Monsters ALWAYS break on me. Yes, I can return them to the store for a new one but that's a pain, I go with the Planet Waves cables, They sound better than the Monsters, they never break on me but if they did they have this way cool solderless connection, Some have a mute switch on the end to make quiet guitar changes on stage. That too is way cool.Try them. You'll hear the difference. Oh and yes, the Mogami's are good, too. Palnet Waves are easier to find though.

Yea danny's right planet waves are pretty great. the Circuit breaker is awesome for switching instruments quietly. Mine broke recently (1st time) so i went in to the music shop, handed the clerk the broken cable and he handed me a new one. That simple.

Monster cables are worth it, especially with the warranty. I had a couple that took a crap on me after a couple of years, and I sat around not acting on the warranty because I expected a difficult process. I brought them to GC and they replaced them on the spot.

Monster cables are the best. Compaired to the cable I got for $15 and the monster cable that was twice as expensive, it's really worth the money.
