FIll out the poll, then elaborate on what it is you have. I'm curious as to what everyone's using for equipment here.

Boss GT-8 for me. In conjunction with Logic, it's pretty much unbelievable how awesome it is....
I'm shopping for a Boss GT-Pro as I type actually...

I use the Line POD X3 Live and I absolutely love it. I totally dig the sounds I can get out of the thing.

Vox Tonelab for guitar. Responds well to picking dynamics, good range of sounds, fair effects. Crunch cleans up nicely when you roll off the volume on the guitar.

Line6 Bass PodXT for bass and guitar. Some great bass sounds and works well for guitar when using Bassman and Dual Showman emulations.

like zombre, i have the GT-8. i like it, as far as multi effects go, but the fact is, unless i have a tube amp and a few analog stomp boxes, i cant get the exact tone i like. and i want to add one thing. if anyone has the chance to go out and try one of the NEW EVH 5150 amps from fender, DO IT. just put a boss reverb pedal in the mix and it rocks your socks!

Isn't that the amp without a clean channel?

No, the Peavey 5150 is the amp without the clean channel. Overrated IMHO. But the Fender collaboration with EVH came up with the new 5150. It's a 3 channel amp that is supposed to be really good.

I've been using the Digitech RP-80, but what I'm really looking for is an old Ibanez PT5. I had one of those back around '94-'95 and it was pretty much awesome. Alas, I haven't seen one on Ebay for a year or more, so I'm starting to scout out alternatives.

My amp has onboard effects. (Behringer V-Tone GMX 212) Great inexpensive amp, effects are ok but I don't use them much.
I used a Digitech RP100A for a long time. No complaints about the effects. Was great for what I needed.
Currently use BOSS BR-600 for all effects, recording and mixing. My favorite piece of gear.

Of the gear listed in the poll for this thread I like the Boss GT-8. I think that may be one of my next purchases.

I always wanted to try one of those badboys out! The Ibaez PT-5 looked like it had a lot of potential but never really took off!

Another cool piece of gear was the Peavey Tubefex. I'm on the lookout for one of those, they were very cool and I think they've been since discontinued.

I'm looking for the Boss BE-5. It was a really basic pedalboard with EQ, Distortion, Chorus, Flanger and Delay. I had one in music school, and I foolishly sold it off. I really just didn't realize how cool it really was...

Also, I think I'll be getting my hands on a Boss GT-6 for my live rig, sounds AWESOME through the loop! A Boss GT-Pro is coming next to my studio...

I've used the line6 stuff for years, and I've really grown to despise the tone. Other people make 'em sound awesome, just not me... Although the GT-5 sounds a bit flat in comparison, I feel I can get a more unique, customizeable sound playing direct with the Boss stuff. It sounds really amazing when I throw in a miced amp track over top of the direct stuff... (Plus... oooo the FX are awesome!!)

i've got a boss gx-700. comes in handy at home when i can't crank my amp. pretty much the only reason i use it. the compressor, noise suppressor, modulator, and chorus effects with my les paul through headphones or a turned down amp produce the heavy tone i crave.
