That's it, the real deal - a Silvertone 1484 head. Tons and tons of sweet, class A, point to point wired bliss. Mine starts to get dirt with the volume at 12 o'clock. Do you have the matching cabinet?

First thing I would do is take it into a tech. Have it looked over and get a three prong plug on it. Without a ground you will no doubt shock yourself at some point.

Definitely take that sucker to a good tech. Even if you don't have a matching cabinet thats a great amp, you can always get a cabinet.

The only clip I have right now is from my old band. Go to www.myspace.com/dundrearies and listen to Inch x Inch. The main rhythm track (the guitar that arpeggiates through the chords on the verses) is my SG through my Silvertone 1484. The verb'd out guitar on the breakdown is my Sheraton through my Fender Deluxe Reverb. You can kind of hear the difference between the mushiness of the Fender against the crispness of the Silvertone.
