this is all about pedals

How many do you have?

what are they?

what do they do?

and on a scale from 1 to 10 what would you give each one for its performance?

The only pedal I use is a Snarling Dogs Whine O Wah+, an original hand wired one that was like $220 when I bought it. Widest sweep ever, a clean volume boost, 3 different centre sweep frequencies, and totally lame in a cool way looking. definatelky worth an 8.

I voted for 3-5 but I technically have 6. Didn't think of it until I had clicked...

I got 3 wahs, 2 gains, 1 delay. That's how I'd rate them in respect to my expectations. I can't really rate them against other equivalents.

ibz AW7 autowah - rate=4 the built-in distortion makes for some wah sounds I really like, but its use is pretty limited.

ibz WD7 - rate=5 I'm happy with the versatility but not too happy with the sweep range and intensity (or lack thereof)

classic crybaby - rate=7 I'd give it more but eds' wah seems superior and he only gave it an 8, so...

ibz TS7 - rate=6 great for boost, good for main dirt too. I'm thinking of getting a second one.

ibz SM7 - rate=5 it sucks through my solid state amp but it's quite likable through modelled amps

ibz DE7 - rate=6

** 5 being "OK"

OK I only have 4 but am receiving several more in the next few years several electro harmonix i love em'

so i have a big muff pi distortion from Russia it is really good and really cheap and id give it an 8 because its not true bypass

then i have a RC-20 loop and I give that a 10 i just love it and i got it for $100 even

then i have my RMC 1 wah which is true bypass so i must give it a 10 because it sounds great too

an last is my newest pedal a small stone phase shifter what more could i ask for in a phase shifter an 8 though its not true bypass

so pedals i would like to get would be either a pog or a micro pog octive divider, a small clone chorus, a Q-tron + envelope filter, a frequency anyalyzer, and a black finger tube compressor (and thats only mu electro harmonicx list)

look these up on ehx.com

also another pedal i have Been dyeing to get is the Kelley katana

I have an CF7, Chorus/Flanger, I like to use this one every now and again. I just have it built in already to my amp.
It was about $89.00 back when I first bought it, back about 4 years ago. It still sounds really good.

I also have a WD7Weping Demon wah pedal. I tried about 10 pedals before I bought this one. Shesquaks and squeals, moans and groans. $99.00 is what I spent.

I have a new TK999HT, Tube King distortion pedal. I am still learning it, but it definitely is working well with my Roland Cube. $150.00, and a little 'splaining to the wife is all it cost me.

All of my pedals and guitars are Ibanez. The only pedal I want after these is the Boss RE-20 Space Echo. One day it will be mine!

I've got:
a Boss SD1 super overdrive, great pedal for a warm smooth distortion, I give it a 9 just cause it is gain it limited.
a dunlop crybaby wah, Good wah but the low end volume is lacking compared to the trebles and the pot is starting to get scratchy, I give it a 6
a marshal echo head digital delay, great delay pedal lots of ms and a huge array of different sounds/uses, it's also got a tap tempo input! 10 for sure.
Those are the only ones I really use.

I have 2 "groups" of pedals...those out on the floor and those housed on a shelf in my rack. The floor pedals are stand-alone, and the rack pedals are controlled by a GCX Audio Controller switch.

Floor:
Boss TU-2
Voodoo Labs Micro Vibe (Set to a really slow sweep...I use it to add some depth to ballad solos. I think it sounds like Robin Trower.)
Morley Little Alligator
Morley Bad Horsie (I got these because they sound good. I tried others but I liked these the best. NOT because Steve Vai uses them.)
GCX Ground Control Pro MIDI foot controller

Rack:
Keeley TS-9 Plus mod
Keeley BD-2 Phat mod
Keeley DS-1 Ultra mod
Keeley MT-2 Twilight Zone mod
Boss AC-3 Acoustic Simulator (Because I don't like to drag my acoustics with me to gigs)
ISP Decimator Pedal (to keep the DS-1 and MT-2 under control)

For chorus, reverb, and delay, I use a Rocktron Xpression also controlled by the GCX unit.

All of them are great pedals, but I'd have to give the DS-1 Ultra the 10 rating. It just sounds amazing no matter what I do to it. The Micro Vibe is my second favorite for getting that cool slow uni-vibe sound before the gain stage of my setup. The third favorite is definitely the BD-2, because I use it to add a bit of a bluesy gritty edge to my clean channel. I call that tone "Jimi clean".
